Child Abuse & Neglect

The Child Protective Services is the major system of intervention of child abuse and neglect in California. The goal is to keep the child in his/her own home when it is safe, and when the child is at risk, to develop an alternate plan as quickly as possible.

Adult Protective Services

Adult Protective Services (APS) responds to confidential reports from anyone who suspects that an elderly person or an adult with a disability (dependent adult) who lives in Contra Costa County is being abused or neglected or is self-neglecting.

Alliance to End Abuse

The Contra Costa Alliance to End Abuse is an initiative of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors which strives to affect systems change in an effort to reduce interpersonal violence in our communities by fostering the development and implementation of collaborative, coordinated and integrated services, supports, interventions and prevention activities.

CSEC (Commercially Sexually Exploited Children)

The Children and Family Services Commercially Sexually Exploited Children/Youth (CFS CSEC) Team supports CFS staff to ensure children and youth who are at-risk or have been commercially sexually exploited get the support and resources they need.
